Yes I'm very excited to announce I'll have three new pieces available in the next few weeks.
'Blytheswood Overture' - A level 2.5 commissioned last year by Warrawee Public School directed by Noel Annett. They wanted an overture style piece with contrasting sections somewhat like 'Flying' that the band played a few years before. Available now!
'Crestwood March' - is a piece for your beginner band (level .5). It had it's premiere performance just a few weeks ago at the Schools Band Festival at UNSW. Written for Crestwood Public School directed by Garry Clark. Available soon.
'Schaefer's Old Time Dances' - was commissioned by the Forbes Town and District Band directed by Justin Screen. They wanted a piece of historical significance inspired by a local person or event. Local musician Harry Schaefer (1876-1954) was chosen. The piece is a medley of 5 folk tunes collected by Harry - some very well known and some unknown and almost lost forever. It's a piece that will challenge your level 2.5 band. The premiere performance was just recently on the 16th September 2017 at the Forbes Town Hall. Available now!
