Your developing players will really enjoy this one!

'Tales Of The Sea' is a great choice as a major work for festival performances. I wanted to write something different to the majority of music out there. I was also thinking of students of this level and how much they enjoy playing the melody. So I came up with four contrasting sections, each section featuring a different part of the band. The four different melodies then play together to bring the piece to its conclusion - every player having a melody to play at the same time! This creates a great opportunity to work on balance where everyone is equally important.
