Danzon - Grade 2.5 - 3    

'Danzon' is one of the earliest Latin dance styles and is still very popular today in Cuba and Mexico.

Right from the opening clarinet melody, your developing players will enjoy this suave Latin dance music. All sections of the band have important parts, some with solo or soli flexibility. Interesting yet not overly difficult Latin percussion and bass parts have a unique groove.

Danzon was the commissioned work for the 2019 North Shore Band Festival (Sydney Australia). Currently on the Junior D Grade test piece list for the NSW State Band Championships.
